Happy First Birthday to this precious boy and my first client! I took his beautiful mama's maternity photos before I knew anything about aperture, ISO, shutter speed or other technical mumbo jumbo. And since I didn't have a blog or website when I took his newborn photos when he was tiny seven weeks old, I thought I would make a special first birthday blog post for this guy. I spent a warm Spring Sunday afternoon with this very special couple and their two dogs, Pogue and Katie. Luke lived in their house when we first met, and I have always enjoyed the the warm feeling they have created through a lot of handwork and love to make their house such a beautiful and cozy home. Lisa and Jim are dear friends of ours, and you may be able to spot my little assistant in one of the photos as well. He happens to love both of them just as much as we do.

I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful girl's baby shower in January, and I was SO excited when her sweet parents asked me to take some newborn photos for them. Fiora is simply precious and she also happens to have the most amazing hair! Thank you Rachel and Paul for letting me capture this special time in your new families life. Also, I have to mention that Rachel's mom was there too and she happens to be the sweetest "Wela" and expert baby whisperer. She even gave me an umbrella to make it back to my car dry. Fiora is one lucky lady.

I had so much fun meeting Barbara and her husband Joel, who are expecting their first baby boy in early June. And I can't forget soon-to-be big brother Boz, their sweet dog. We are due one day apart, so we really bonded over our pregnancy joys (and woes). I am really looking forward to meeting their baby when he arrives! I can already tell what loving parents they will be to the lucky guy. And extra kudos to Barbara for being a trooper in heels all over (a somewhat mushy) Laurelhurst park!

I spent the first (extra beautiful) sunset of 2015 capturing this silly guy and his family. Alden and I have been hanging out with Ryder once a week for over a year now and it has been so fun to see them grow together. Alexander (Lex) was 7 weeks old when I got to meet him. He spent his first 11 days in the NICU, and it is very clear how grateful his loving parents are to have him home in their arms. I can't get over his sweet little face, especially that perfectly cute little chin! Thank you Dani and Darin for inviting me into your home.

I had so much fun with this beautiful family. Oliver (4) and Corwin (15 months) were so sweet and loving to each other. It is easy to see they get this from their warm and welcoming parents, Emily and Phil. They had a dance party in Corwin's room, played baseball and soccer outside, and made me practically forget I was there to work, because they made my job so easy and fun! Thank you Emily and Phil for allowing me to capture this sweet time in your family's life.

The sun was shining bright for this lovely couple's January baby shower. They are expecting their baby girl in March and she is already very loved! The shower was held at the gym Paul owns. This travel themed shower had thoughtful details, cute babies, excited grandparents, and the sweetest onesie design station. Also, can we talk about how gorgeous Rachel looks?
